The CCRAS - CARI New Delhi institute is registered under the SOCIETIES REGISTRATION ACT OF 1860 w.e.f. 29/07/2011 as a peripheral institute of CCRAS. The institute is housed in a rented building in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, covering approximately 2 acres of Land. The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for the upcoming building of Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi at FC-5, Block A, Sector 28, Rohini, Delhi led by the Hon'ble Prime Minister was held on 05.01.2025. The new campus in Rohini is a ground breaking development, spanning 2.92 acres and representing an investment of ₹187.15 crore. OPD services have been extended to CARI-Rohini Campus w.e.f. 11.08.2026

The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), New Delhi, under the Central CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, inaugurated its new Extension Outpatient Department (OPD) Facility by DG-CCRAS and other officials at FC-5, Block-A, Sector-28, Rohini, New Delhi, 11 August 2026.

The Central Ethics Committee of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CEC-CCRAS), MoA, GoI, successfully underwent a Survey by an internationally recognized ethics accreditation body - Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER) in collaboration with the Forum for Ethical Review Committees in Asia and the Western Pacific (FERCAP) from 9th to 12th March 2026, at CARI, New Delhi

Brief Introduction

The CARI New Delhi institute is registered under the SOCIETIES REGISTRATION ACT OF 1860 w.e.f. 29/07/2011 as a peripheral institute of CCRAS. The institute is housed in a rented building in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, covering approximately 2 acres of Land. The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for the upcoming building of Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi at FC-5, Block A, Sector 28, Rohini, Delhi led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister was held on 05.01.2025.

The new campus in Rohini is a ground breaking development, spanning 2.92 acres and representing an investment of ₹187.15 crore.The facility will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, including:

Four Main Blocks: Administrative Block, 17 Outpatient Department (OPD) Block, Inpatient Department (IPD) Block, and a dedicated Treatment Block.
Specialized Clinics: Geriatrics, Paediatrics, ENT, Arthritis, Preventive Cardiology, and Eye care.
Traditional Treatments: Panchakarma, Kshara Sutra (medicated thread therapy), and Jalukavacharana (leech therapy).
Modern Amenities: Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, clinical laboratories, physiotherapy units, and a well-equipped library.
The project is set to be completed within 30 months, enhancing the integration of Ayurveda into mainstream healthcare and establishing CARI as a global leader in the field.
