Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi

Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi was established in the year 1979 (under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India). This institute is dedicated to Clinical Research in the field of Ayurveda. The Institute is housed in a rented building and caters to the health care services of the general public besides conducting Clinical Research Studies on various chronic disease conditions and diseases from priority areas of the country. The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for the upcoming building of Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi at FC-5, Block A, Sector 28, Rohini, Delhi led by the Hon'ble Prime Minister was held on 05.01.2025. Clinical Research and patient care services are being carried out through various clinical sections like Panchakarma, Ksharasutra, Jalukavacharana, Kriyakalpas, Clinical Laboratory, Physiotherapy, Library, and specialty clinics like Geriatric, Eye, Preventive Cardiology, ENT, Arthritis, Paediatrics etc.

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India. It is an apex body in India for the formulation, coordination, development and promotion of research on scientific lines in Ayurveda and Sowa-Rigpa system of medicine.
